Senior Security Sales Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Security Sales Consultant is responsible for being the lead technical resource throughout the sales process. Primary duties include identifying customer needs, proposing and designing strategic and technical solutions to meet these needs, and helping to close business and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Identify customer needs, understanding the business drivers behind these needs
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to Director and C-level clients
  • Propose and design strategic and technical security solutions to meet customer needs
  • Assist with technical scoping, project pricing, and proposal development
  • Align with sales strategies and assist in helping them close and meet sales goals
  • Help drive revenues and sales goal achievement through client facing business development activities
  • Train internal staff on various security subjects
  • Liason between the client, Sales and Delivery groups during sales and post sales cycles
  • Perform other duties as needed

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience performing client facing consulting or sales engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following compliance or governance frameworks: NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, COBIT, HIPAA, PCI
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability management and penetration testing practices
  • Strong knowledge of LogRhythm, Cisco, QRadar, Anomali, and/or Carbon Black
  • Published author or experienced speaker at industry events
  • Must live in the Chicago Area or be willing to relocate
  • Must have access to a car
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
  • Passionate about security and building relationships within the industry
  • Active participation in the sales cycle including client relationships and account strategy
  • Minimum of 5 years in an Information Security role
  • Strong knowledge of general technical security controls and security architecture

The Senior Operations Engineer is focused on all technical aspects of the customer’s managed security environment and customer experience with RedLegg Managed Services. The Senior Operations Engineer will utilize technical expertise and polite professional etiquette while performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate leadership areas of the Customer Service engagement
  • Design and implement customer facing technical project plans
  • Provide high level reports and status to both internal and customer project teams

  • Maintain knowledge of industry-wide attacks

Job Description

During this internship program, you will be exposed to project work in the cybersecurity field and will gain insight into many facets of the cybersecurity landscape. Placement is contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn key technologies and services through RedLegg and vendor training programs
  • Complete tasks needed for various departments including, but not limited to, marketing, customer service, managed security services and pre-sales and sales support
  • Update documents in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Leverage RedLegg’s CRM to prepare activity and forecast reports as requested
